- Primary Objective (s) : To improve surveillance and disease management of malaria in participating clinics
- Secondary Objective(s) : Epidemiology P. vivax malaria
a. To quantify the burden of recurrent malaria within the study population.
b. To map health care facilities and pharmacies within the study area.
c. Health Care Facilities – health system strengthening.
d. To quantify correct prescription of malaria drugs.
e. To implement direct observation for 1st dose of antimalarial drug.
f. To develop a robust reporting system that documents malaria cases in a timely manner and allows identification of repeated individual patient visits to healthcare facilities.
g. To support pharmacovigilance of adverse effects from primaquine.
h. To provide feedback for continuos quality improvement of malaria diagnosis and treatment.
